APTA’s summer conference expected to attract over 2,000 professionals
From June 27–30, the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, will play host to the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) NEXT Conference and Exposition 2018, an annual summer celebration of the present and future of physical therapy.
With programming kicking off Wednesday afternoon and wrapping up after lunchtime Saturday, attendees will be treated to three full days of the best the physical therapy profession has to offer in cutting-edge advances, forward-thinking programming, and direct interaction with presenters and speakers.
According to the APTA’s web site, this year’s conference programming highlights include:
- Crisis Recovery Session, featuring the Florida and Texas Physical Therapy Associations
- Experience Zone with hands-on technology demonstrations
- What Would You Do? Case presentations with audience polling
- 4 preconference courses for additional educational opportunities
Also offered this year are three pre-conference educational conferences on Addiction and Chronic Pain, Addressing Challenges of Physical Rehab in Critically Ill Adults, and Medical Imaging. The conferences also offers three separate educational tracks based on a person’s career standing—one for early-career PTs, another for mid-career PTs, and a third for physical therapist assistants (PTAs).
